A reminder that our Junior Presentation evening will be going ahead this Saturday, 22nd October at 4pm.
With more rain forecast for this week we have decided to move our presentation event to our back-up, wet weather location at Winston Hills Public School.
The presentation will be held in the hall and will be followed by an outdoor movie screening of Minions: The Rise of Gru at approximately 7.30pm on the Blue Court. Please bring your own low seating, camping chairs, outdoor beanbags or picnic blankets. We will have sectioned areas for players at the front, lower chairs & picnic rugs behind the players and higher camping chairs at the back.
FORMAL PRESENTATIONS – Commencing at 4.00pm
As our club has a large number of Junior players, we will be breaking the presentation into three different age groups.
4.00pm-5.30pm – Presentation for the U12-17s, Youth League 4 & Youth Girls (Mixed & Girls)
5.30pm-6.15pm – Presentation for the U10-11s (Mixed & Girls)
6.30pm-7.15pm – Presentation for the U8-9s (Mixed & Girls)
We ask that all players join their coach and team at the front when they arrive for their time slot. Teams will be called forward as a group, player names will be read out by their coach/manager and all players will receive a trophy &/or gift from the club. Once players have received their trophy &/or gift from the club, the team will return to their position until all other teams in the time slot have been awarded. Players may then rejoin their family and friends once the formal presentation part of the evening has been completed.
FUN AND FESTIVITIES
The committee have organised fairy floss, popcorn and a drink for all players which will be handed out during their presentation. Families are encouraged to bring along a picnic style dinner to enjoy while they watch the movie. We are aiming to commence the movie at 7.30pm when it will be dark enough to enjoy the outdoor experience. Hopefully, the weather will be good but we would encourage you to bring along warm jackets / blankets etc to ensure you are comfortable.
We understand that not all families may be able to attend our Presentation Evening (as is the case every year). If you know in advance that you will not be in attendance, you can ask another player to collect your child’s trophy on their behalf OR we will pass on the trophy to your team’s coach or manager.
If you require any further information please email the club and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
